The breakdown of the tech support and commerical issues resulting from the sale of our previous web host to the new idiotic and uesless one, has left a bad taste in my mouth. Why a company as established as Myriad Hosting (once a respectable web host) would sell their business to a totally incompetent newbie Co. is beyond me – the troubles they’ve caused are massive. Web pages with scripts start to malfunction, the new tech support doesn’t know their DNS from php. “we are still working on it, your site will be up soon…” is the automated answer that was repeated every other week for 12 weeks. Time to give up on them man… Thumbs down for Myriad for mismanagement and definately unforgivable for not informing subscribers of the sale. Why? why did you sell Myriad, it must be sold for a nice profit.. that’s why.

Which brings me to Greed!! One of the most popular sin; for its simplicity and the way it works into your heart without you knowing it. Sins like Wrath and Lust are dormant; and can be felt strongly once they surface. Greed is ever present, muted yet deviously grows on you. Made your 1st 100K from the market? The reversal should bring you 200k…  with more capital and leverage, this stock could make me a millionaire…

We are never quite satisfied are we? More is better. Perhaps a bigger car? More pay, more POWER? As we desire more, the thirst gets unquenched, the GREED gets darker… Beware, you have been warned…

So, wazzup?  Nothing much, really.  All I can think of since the start of the new year are blogs, sins & ambirgrams…my tshirts of course!  Tatz my priority for 2009…write more blogs….more marketing efforts for eLyTs Tshirt Gallery…2008 was good coz we kick started eLyTs…2009 will be better coz we r gonna rock it!

I saw Jinoe’s designs when searching for Ambigrams on the internet and it’s really like love at first sight….he knows his art well and is really good at it.  So, I contacted him and asked him if her was interested to create a series of designs for our t-shirts…the theme was, of course, Seven Sins. 

After some further email communications, Jinoe agreed to be our designer for this series of t-shirts.  He must have regretted at some point…coz we really gave him a hard time for some of  the designs. 

For example, Gluttony had at least 9 revisions before we finally decided that the design fits into the theme.

Pride didn’t come easy either.  Being the greatest sin, we wanted to really feel “Pride” with the ambigram design.  So, after the first few drafts failed to impress, we suggested a tribal design …something that portrays the pride of a tribe leader.  This is what we see in the end product…..

My favorite sin?  It’s gotta be Sloth…that’s because I’m sometimes so lazy that I feel I’m one.  Needless to say, it’s another fabulous design ~ this is one of the designs that I’ve accepted with only minor amendments…need I say more?

To Mr J.Gavan, it’s been great working with you and I believe there’ll be more collaboration to come.

PS. Dan Brown’s “Angels & Demons” will be filmed into a movie…if you still don’t know what’s an Ambigram, read the book or watch out for the movie!

So, it’s a brand New Year! New resolutions, new targets, same excuses. I am so going to lose that 10 pounds, lose me flab around me waist. Sure… maybe after Lunar New Year. But only one thing remained the same…. our love for t-shirts.

Its been a while now since we started our online t-shirt biz.. we are facsinated by the outcome of the prints despite having our fair share of tussle with the manufacturer. Prints are crisp, and the designs works very well on our quality tees. Our experience with the packaging manufacturer is far more pleasant. But all that was last year!!

This Year, One particular movie has caught our eyes: Angels and Demons is coming to town!! The very inspiration that led to the birth of 7 Sevens Ambigram Tshirts is going to be made into a movie! Yeeesssss! We have been fans of Dan Brown’s Angels, DaVinci Code as well as se7en the movie – Just can’t wait.

How desperate can people get when it comes to satisfying sexual desires? Witnessed a public display of affection in a public carpark this morning.  Not that I’m interested, but this van was parked just next to my car….and the couple was making out in the van….desperate?….definitely!  Had it not been the fear that my car might be vandalized, I would have taken some pics to share with everybody….hehehe…

Sexual addiction or simply the obsessive want for each other ….it’s definitely a sin….Lust!

While i have never been championship material, I have had my piece of competitive actions and what i love most about sports is that true friendship can develop through competition. Mutual respect is very real, when u are beaten by someone better – you know it. Yet it motivates you to up your game, that is the spirit of excellence. When u win, you will know that you are the best too. All disputes, politics or otherwise, should be dissolved in this atmosphere – nothing should be irreconcilable in sports.

Often the most touching sights are seen during events as big as this one. Injured athletes limping across the finishing line long after the rest for completed, cheered on by the crowd! Exhausted athletes crumbling to the ground – they may have lost but they are winners in their very own rights. Because simply finishing an event at the Olyimpics is an achievement to be proud of.

This month I will be looking at the performance of the Singapore team; my home team. While we boast the best airport, pride ourselves with having the finest port, perhaps even the best medicated ointment in Tiger Balm - the Olympics Gold has eluded us. Our proudest moment still stands in 1960 Rome when Mr. Tan Howe Liang brought home the silver.

As far as i can see, China has put in great efforts to make this a success. The Opening was one hell of a spectacle and i hope the Olyimpics this year will take our breath away. This is a month of hope, I hold dear the wish for our first medal and pray our team performs at their very best….

May the best man wins.

World peace in itself is an irony, driven only by the mere mortals that claim their self-righteousness to be fair and peaceful. Would peace stand a chance if man is indeed flawed?

As we celebrate capitalism, human rights and green movement – we seemed to have forgotten that the very essense of thoughts and actions drives from ones moral values. While we lay down the rules of the peace game, do we first look into ourselves for the answers? We are but just mortals, un-saintly we are – our imaginations are colourful and pure, our action – is the speck of impurity in the otherwise naively perfect motive.

The first Sin: widely regarded as the First Sin is the unassuming Pride… while pride is what one might wear on his sleeve – for his country, for his love of his significant other, for his brand new SLR, his 43″ Plasma. The driven force for success! But alas, so is Pride for the hideous claws that is so hell bent on winning that resorts to devious actions. That it so develops into Envy and Jealousy.

Next up… WRATH!!
